Zandra Rhodes was overwhelmed by the press turn out and response from her fans after attending a VIP Bag Signing for her debut handbag collection stocked exclusively at Boudoir Boutique.

In store, Zandra posed for photographs and held interviews with the invited press. Although, like any fashion conscious woman Zandra still found time to look around the store and admire the selection of items we stock at Boudoir Boutique.

Only limited numbers of Zandra’s handbag collection are left due to such high demand. But, don’t panic ladies we were prepared and have brought in some new designs from the Spring/Summer 2011 collection.

All of Zandra’s bags are typically unique pieces all possessing the signature Rhodes flair, prints and patterns with a vintage edge. They are finished beautifully with a bright pink lining and rose gold hardware– Zandra, like with all her projects has been very hands on with the design and over all image of her handbags.

Zandra has openly acknowledged that her handbag collection is her way of reaching out to the younger generation– and I for one am eternally grateful. Surprisingly, they do not come with the ‘designer’ price tag one may expect from an established Fashion Icon’s collection.

Zandra commented “Everyone has been touched by the recession, and as you get older you realise how good it is when a big company takes you up. Otherwise, who are you designing for? A rarefied group that read Vogue — and that won’t pay your keep.”

So, there are now more reasons to love Zandra Rhodes. Long Live the Queen.
